To help Horne Memorial UMC provide a caring and secure environment for children and youth in all phases of church life and to help Horne Memorial UMC reduce its legal risk and liability exposure, we have developed this set of guidelines known as the "Safe Sanctuaries Policy" of Horne Memorial UMC. This Child Abuse Prevention Policy and Procedures applies to all current or prospective, paid or volunteer workers who will provide regular or periodic care for children or youth entrusted to Horne Memorial UMC in any fashion, including the Horne Memorial UMC Preschool, Horne Memorial UMC Nursery (i.e. including but not limited to nursery care during a scheduled Church service, a scheduled Church meeting, or a scheduled meeting of outside entities at which nursery care will be provided), or otherwise.
