We want to invite people in our community to experience God’s love by making them feel wanted and needed and part of our church family. 

If you want to start a small group or if the group to which you currently belong wants to advertise and encourage others to join or participate, the Communications Team will be glad to assist you by doing the following:

• Sending press releases to local media outlets
• Preparing bulletin boards for your group
• Creating posters for your group or event
• Designing fliers or brochures for your group
• Creating a web page for your group
• Editing written materials
• Taking photos

1. Daphne Key at mokijo(at)aol.com will send press releases to the following outlets – depending on the event:  
   • Local papers
   • Local radio stations
   • Local television stations
2. Please contact Daphne Key at mokijo(at)aol.com for help in creating posters, fliers, brochures, and web pages.  
3. For assistance in proofreading or editing written materials, contact Daphne Key at mokijo(at)aol.com, and someone on the Communications Team will be glad to assist you.
4. Bulletin boards in our church are overseen by Judy Packard. Various groups have designated boards on which they display posters, pictures, and information. Please contact Judy at pacdj@nc.rr.com.
5. Bob Horton is the Editorial Coordinator for our monthly Connect newsletter.  Please submit information to Bob by noon of the 16th of the month preceding publication at nchortons@gmail.com or put it in the Joy Club mailbox outside the church office. Also contact Bob if you would like to receive a copy.
6. Send information for inclusion for our weekly church bulletins to sarah.norris(at)horneumc.net.
7. To post information on the web site or to create a page for your group, please contact Jim Cook, Horne Webmaster, at jwcpja@yahoo.com.
8. If you would like someone to take photos of your church event, please contact Rebecca Ledoux at ledouxfamilyinnc(at)yahoo.com. Rebecca will advise you on release forms, etc.

Each group listed below can add information, and Judy is available if assistance is needed. If you need assistance, please contact Judy with the information (who, what, why, when). Collection containers are the responsibility of the collecting group, but, if you want, Judy will be glad to create a sign for the container.
